Over generations, the Koo family has managed LG, with Koo Bon-moo rebranding it to LG in 1995. Following his passing in 2018, Koo Kwang-mo succeeded as CEO. LG, symbolizing “Life’s Good,” operates globally with subsidiaries like LG Electronics and LG Chem. In 2021, LG Electronics ceased its mobile phone business, marking the end of a 26-year journey.
